Role

Seifer's role in Kingdom Hearts II is not all that much different from his larger role in Final Fantasy VIII. As like FFVIII, Seifer is the Head of the Disciplinary Committee of Twilight Town, along with Rai (Raijin), Fuu (Fujin), and Vivi (a character from Final Fantasy IX). Seifer also becomes one of the opponents that Roxas, the main character in the beginning of the game, to defeat in order to earn his title as the Struggle champion.

After that point, Seifer's role is really minimal. He will serve as a character you can choose to fight against in order to level up, and he will talk to you and your party here and there. As you soon later find out, Twilight Town is a fictional place DiZ created, and it will soon disappear, along with its fictional inhabitants - including Seifer. I'm still in the midst of the beginning of KH2, so this section will be updated when I finish the game, as will his dialogue in KH2.

Seifer's appearance in the game is also not all that different from his appearance in Final Fantasy VIII. His trademark grey trenchcoat is still worn, although it is altered and is sleeveless; underneath is still his familiar blue vest but it bares his midriff (quite shocking, really). Probably the most initially noticed new featured Seifer receives is his black beanie, but his familiar physical traits outnumber the small amount of changes in his wardrobe. And Seifer would of course be incomplete without his scar, so Square-Enix took the liberty of keeping it there :D
