Final Fantasy Gaiden 
Final Fantasy Gaiden was an April Fool's joke created by the staff at gia.com, claiming that Squaresoft would create the first ever sequel to a Final Fantasy game (Final Fantasy VIII) entitled Final Fantasy Gaiden. They even released an edited battle scene between Seifer, Fujin, Raijin, and several tonberries (I believe) which I took screens of :) The original article is not up anymore, however, a mirror still retains all the information, as well as gia's confession of it being a joke. Had Gaiden been real, Seifer and his posse would have been the main characters. It would tell a story of Seifer's redemption after the sorceress war and end of Final Fantasy VIII. Of course, being an avid Seifer fan, I would have loved to buy and play this game, but unfortunately Square has no intentions of making an FFVIII sequel...yet. Return: Seifer |
